The visual representation of data related to settlements and areas on maps is always a great aid and a striking complement to research, analyses, and studies. In countless fields of science, there is data that can be mapped and has been mapped; linking and analyzing this data together offers even greater opportunities for researchers. Furthermore, map-based visualization makes spatial relationships and research findings more understandable and transparent to the general public.
At the 17th instalment of the Find a Treasure roundtable discussion series, we will be discussing the opportunities and challenges presented by geospatial data visualisation with our participants, who come from a variety of academic disciplines.
